12th July - Forget About It...

It's still hot and sunny, the beach is still here and I still can't think of any reason why I should not be there. Admittedly the rapidly dwindling bank balance is quite an incentive, but not quite good enough just yet.

But on the subjec tof work, at 29 years old and with the clock ticking, I feel like this is a time when I really need to 'do something'. I've had enough gap-filling jobs and I think I need to get on with doing something with the long term in mind.

Trouble is, with my CV it's kind of hard to convince people that I'm not a tavelling hippy or something. So I'm looking beyond the world of offices and intgerviews and am going to push on with ideas of self-employment and being my own boss. Might try and push this photography hobby as far as I can too.

Anyway, we'll see...

What's the betting that I'll be back in China teaching English before the end of 2007?

12th July - Forget About It...

So July is turning in to a bit of a write-off when it comes to all things website and blogging related.

The move to the new house is starting to take shape, the job hunt is in full effect and, yes, these are both perfectly good excuses as to why I haven't been writing here much lately. But, there is one slightly more influential factor...

...that's right, I am now living in a town with a beautiful sandy beach and clear blue sea, so there is an added incentive to stay away from the PC.

And be honest with me now, given half the chance you'd do exactly the same thing, wouldn't you?

5th July - Waiting Over

Cast your mind back - way, way back to a time long, long ago. Yes, all the way back to the lat post I mad ein this 'ere Blog of mine. All that waiting? Ring any bells? Probably not, but anyway...

The waiting is over. The visa has been extended for 18 months (woo hoo!), the university course has been started (woo hoo!), Virgin finally got back to me and the flight has been sorted (woo hoo!) and England are out of the world cup (sh1te, b0ll0x - bl00dy penalties again!!!).

So right now I am sitting my consdierably sized ar5se donw in an internet cafe in (not so) sunny Bournemouth, in between viewings of potential new houses. And hopefully we'll be moving into one sometime next week (final woo hoo of the day - woo hoo!)

So the waiting is well and truly over. Nwo comes the even worse part....getting back into the real world with one of those nasty 9-5 job thingys....
