Kaifeng to Louyang: The journey from these 2 cities takes you through Shaolin.  Kaifeng is an ancient capital of China and home to a significant Muslim population.  A short train ride  into the neighbouring province of Shandong takes you to Tai Shan -- one of the 5 sacred mountains in China.
