What’s this all about…..?

Good question. Not much really. Well, seeing as I am so slack when it comes to e-mail and even worse when it comes to showing anyone the thousands of photos I’ve taken, I thought I would try my hand at hosting a website to tackle these 2 problems.

Also, as some, most or all of you might know I seem to be spending a lot of my time in China of late, so a lot of this site relates to the weird and wonderful things I’ve been seeing and doing here. And last, but by no means least, another main reason for this site is that it gives me a good chance to play around on my new toy (the lap-top…thank you Father Christmas) and put off doing any of the teaching prep I should be!

So that’s what it’s all about. I hope it makes sense and more importantly I hope it proves to be even just a little interesting to someone except me. But that might be a problem, as I have a feeling I will be the only person that ever sees it…..

On the site today…
So what’s in store for you lucky viewer(s). Well, at the top of the page are the various links to the other parts of the site (pretty much self explanatory I think). Just click on the appropriate picture and it should take you straight there…I hope!

Web host permitting, there will be quite a few photos (mostly from China – I bought the camera just before I came the first time). I’ll try to keep you really up to date in the
What am I doing now? section, specifically with a latest diary entry….although don’t expect too many of those, as I’m far too lazy!

I’ll no doubt bore you to tears in
The Blog! section, which I’ll use as a place to keep you up to date with my latest antics. It will also be a place for me to express my frustration at anything or nothing in particular – your comments are always welcome. I might add that whilst I can be serious, this is likely to take the form of me venting frustration at things Chinese, which usually bring a smile to your face in the end, as they are inevitably completely ridiculous!

If you are interested in a bit of background to my "blog" or if you were one of the fortunate few who managed to avoid me on my brief jaunt back to fair old England, please feel free to cast your gaze over my
First Time In China section. The so called ‘culture shock’ has died down somewhat with me having spent more time here, but those first impressions sure do live on.

This might seem a little similar to the
Weird and Wonderful section, but will be a little different as I hope this will just be a place for me to share some of my slightly stranger experiences in story or picture form. And believe me, I have enough of these type of stories from China to fill a book already! Come to think of it…..

And of course there is the obligatory
Photos, Photos, Photos section, which I have no doubt everyone will go to first of all without paying any attention to my wonderful writing and without the slightest thought for just how long its taken me to type all this bloomin’ rubbish! I hope you enjoyed them!

What do you think?
What I would be really happy to hear are any comments from anyone on the content of the site or anything they want to see/hear about.

I’d also be really happy to get stories and the like from anyone who thinks they fit into the
Weird and Wonderful section (Emily and David, get writing as I KNOW you have a bunch between you).

Even better, you could just write to say hello and let me know what you’re up to.
